These Are A Few Of My Favorite (Beer) Things
Full Disclosure: I do not receive monetary benefits or otherwise from promoting anyone below. I just love the people and the products so I am compelled to share. If you have the opportunity, or are in the area, make a pit-stop.
The Backroom @ Valley Brewers
Chris and Sandy find the best beer between San Diego and the Bay and serve it up in a not so secret speakeasy. Easily the best non-Danish thing to do in Solvang.
515 Fourth Place Solvang, CA 93463
Draughtsman ALEWORKS
Traditional styles in an old-school micro-brewery setting done incredibly well. In addition to the OG Goleta brewery they have a taproom downtown SB on State St. Must tries: the Japanese Rice Lager and Irish Red.
53 Santa Felicia Drive Goleta, CA 93117
Alvarado Street Brewing
These guys are definitely new-school with a laundry list of West Coast IPAs, yeast-driven IPAs, NEIPAs, and hop forward lagers. The sour stuff if also glorious. Check out the new brewhouse and taproom in Salinas or go to the original brewpub and grill in Monterey.
426 Alvarado Street, Monterey, CA 93940
Third Window B Brewing Company
An affinity for, and focus on, Belgian styles but not afraid to play with the new school. Many of their beers are available in bottle with several being even tastier with bottle conditioning. They have a maturing barrel and wild ale facility in the Santa Ynez valley with (hopefully) some releases in 2019.
